Terms of service

Last updated: 14 September 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of houseofmani.co.in (the “Website”) and all purchases from House of Mani. House of Mani is operated by GOLD BOX JEWELS AND MARKETING (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED (“House of Mani”, “we”, “us” or “our”), GSTIN 08AAMCG9315P1ZT.

Authorised online point of sale. The Website at houseofmani.co.in is House of Mani’s only authorised online point of sale. We do not currently authorise any other website, marketplace, social-media page, messaging account, reseller or payment link to accept online orders or payments on our behalf. These Terms and our Website policies apply to orders that our records verify were placed directly through the Website. This does not affect a remedy that applicable law requires in relation to a genuine House of Mani transaction.

By accessing the Website, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to the policies incorporated by reference, including our Return and Refund Policy and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or place an order. Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Indian law.

1. Eligibility and customer information

You must be legally competent to contract under Indian law. A person under 18 may use the Website only through, and under the supervision of, a parent or lawful guardian who accepts responsibility for the transaction. You must provide complete, accurate and current name, contact, billing, delivery and payment information and promptly correct any error. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for activity conducted through your account, except to the extent caused by our act or omission.

Products are offered for lawful personal use. Commercial resale, bulk purchasing for resale, or use of our photographs, packaging or brand to represent goods as your own requires our prior written consent.

2. Product information and jewellery characteristics

We take reasonable care to describe products accurately. The nature, composition, plating, finish, stones, dimensions and other characteristics of a product are only those expressly stated on its product page. Style or colour descriptions do not, by themselves, represent precious-metal purity, gemstone authenticity or certification unless expressly stated.

Colours may appear differently because of lighting, photography and screen settings. Hand-finished products may have minor, non-material variations in texture, shade, placement or finish. Measurements and weights may be approximate within a reasonable manufacturing tolerance. These ordinary variations are not defects where the product remains materially consistent with its description. This does not apply where a product is defective, incorrect, spurious, materially misdescribed or otherwise fails to conform to applicable law or an express promise.

Customers must check the product measurements and the applicable size guide before ordering. Size replacements, where available, are governed exclusively by our Return and Refund Policy. Product availability is not guaranteed until an order is accepted.

No general commercial warranty. Unless an express written warranty is displayed on the applicable product page at the time of purchase, House of Mani does not provide a separate commercial warranty or guarantee concerning a product’s useful life, plating duration, polish, colour, shine, stone retention or resistance to wear. This does not exclude mandatory remedies for a proven manufacturing defect, material misdescription, breach of an express warranty or another legally non-conforming condition.

3. Care, use and sensitivity

Jewellery must be used, stored and cared for in accordance with the product information and care instructions displayed on the applicable product page. For artificial, imitation, fashion, plated or polished jewellery, plating, polish, colour and surface finish are not permanent. Their appearance and useful life vary according to frequency of use, friction, perspiration, individual skin chemistry, moisture, water, perfume, cosmetics, lotions, chemicals, heat, cleaning method and storage.

Unless an express written warranty on the applicable product page states otherwise, we do not promise or guarantee a fixed duration for plating, polish, colour, shine or stone retention. Customers must avoid water and moisture, perfume and lotion; remove jewellery before sleeping, bathing or exercising; clean it only with a soft, dry cloth; and store it separately in a dry, airtight box or pouch.

Gradual fading, tarnishing, discolouration, scratching, loss of shine, or loosening or loss of stones caused by ordinary wear and tear, friction, impact, moisture, chemicals, cosmetics, improper use, cleaning, handling or storage is not a manufacturing defect. A care-instruction graphic or summary must be read together with these Terms and any product-specific disclosures.

A report of unusually rapid deterioration, defective plating or workmanship, or a stone becoming loose or falling because of a possible setting defect will be assessed individually using the product description, any express warranty, the condition at delivery, the customer’s photographs and usage and care information, our dispatch records and, where reasonably required, inspection of the product. Nothing in this section excludes a remedy for a defective, materially misdescribed or otherwise legally non-conforming product or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Failure to follow the disclosed jewellery-care instructions—including exposure to water, moisture, sweat, perfume, lotion, cosmetics, hairspray, soap, household or commercial cleaners, acidic liquids, alcohol or ammonia; exposure to direct sunlight or excessive heat; wearing jewellery while sleeping, bathing or exercising; improper cleaning or storage; impact, friction, tugging, pulling or rough handling—may cause fading, tarnishing, discolouration, scratches, breakage, or loosening or loss of stones. To the fullest extent permitted by law, House of Mani will not be responsible for deterioration, damage or loss caused or materially contributed to by such failure, misuse, ordinary wear and tear, impact, alteration, unauthorised repair or improper handling or storage.

Visible issues—including missing or loose stones, damaged or uneven polish, discolouration, scratches, breakage or any condition reasonably discoverable upon delivery—must be reported within 48 hours of recorded delivery with clear photographs or video. Claims reported later will ordinarily not qualify under our voluntary replacement or refund policy because delayed reporting may prevent reliable verification of the product’s delivery condition.

An alleged defect that could not reasonably have been discovered through inspection within 48 hours must be reported promptly after discovery, together with photographs, usage history, care details and other reasonably available evidence. Delay may be considered when assessing causation and may result in rejection where it prevents reliable verification or the evidence indicates normal wear, misuse, impact, moisture, chemical exposure or improper storage. These reporting requirements and exclusions do not apply where the customer establishes an existing manufacturing defect, material misdescription, breach of an express warranty or another liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

Customers with known metal, plating or skin sensitivities should review the disclosed materials before purchase and discontinue use if irritation occurs. We do not make medical representations.

No after-sales repair or restoration service

House of Mani does not ordinarily provide paid or complimentary repolishing, replating, refinishing, stone resetting, stone replacement, repair, alteration or restoration services after delivery unless such a service is expressly offered or agreed by us in writing.

We are not responsible for arranging or bearing the cost of such work where fading, tarnishing, discolouration, scratching, breakage, or loosening or loss of stones results from ordinary wear and tear, failure to follow disclosed care instructions, moisture, perfume, cosmetics, chemicals, friction, impact, improper handling or storage, alteration, or unauthorised repair.

Customers must not send jewellery to us for repair or restoration without prior written authorisation. An unauthorised parcel may be refused where its identity, condition or chain of custody cannot reasonably be verified. Work performed by an unauthorised third party may prevent reliable verification of a later claim.

This section does not restrict any repair, replacement, refund or other remedy required under applicable law where the customer establishes an existing manufacturing defect, defective stone setting, material misdescription, breach of an express warranty or another legally non-conforming condition.

4. Orders and contract formation

A product listing is an invitation to place an order, not an unconditional offer. Your order is an offer to purchase the selected products. An automated order acknowledgement only confirms receipt of that offer. An order is accepted when we confirm dispatch or otherwise expressly accept it. We may impose reasonable quantity limits.

Before acceptance, we may decline or cancel an order for genuine inventory unavailability, an obvious pricing or catalogue error, failed or reversed payment, an incomplete or undeliverable address, legal or regulatory restrictions, suspected fraud or abuse supported by objective indicators, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If we cancel an order after receiving payment, we will initiate a full refund of the cancelled amount to the original payment method, subject to applicable law and payment-provider processing time. We will not charge a corrected or higher price without your agreement.

5. Prices, taxes and payment

Prices are displayed in Indian Rupees unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes, delivery charges and other disclosed charges will be shown before order confirmation. You authorise our payment service providers to process the payment method selected at checkout. Payment information is also subject to the terms and security practices of the applicable payment provider.

If a genuine typographical, technical or catalogue error affects a price or material product detail, we may contact you for instructions or cancel the affected item and issue the applicable refund. Promotional offers, coupons and discounts are subject to their stated eligibility, duration, exclusions and usage limits and may be withdrawn prospectively where permitted by law.

6. Verification, security and fraud prevention

To protect customers and House of Mani, we may conduct proportionate verification of an order, payment, address, delivery, cancellation, return, refund or replacement request. We may request reasonable supporting information, pause fulfilment or resolution while verification is pending, limit quantities, or cancel a transaction where objective evidence indicates identity misuse, payment abuse, false information, repeated abusive conduct, product substitution or another attempted fraud. Verification will be conducted reasonably, without unlawful discrimination, and in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

We may preserve and compare relevant order records, customer communications, payment and courier records, parcel weights, product identifiers, photographs, packing records, dispatch videos, pickup records, return-opening videos and inspection reports for fraud prevention, claim assessment, dispute resolution and legal compliance. Such records are not conclusive by themselves and will be considered together with the customer’s evidence and the surrounding circumstances.

7. Delivery

Delivery dates and times are estimates unless expressly guaranteed. Customers must provide a complete serviceable address, remain reasonably available for delivery and follow legitimate courier verification procedures. Do not share a delivery OTP before the parcel is physically presented to you. Where practicable, refuse a parcel that is visibly opened, materially damaged or tampered with and notify us promptly. Accepting a parcel or being unable to inspect it immediately does not automatically waive a right available under law.

Once delivery is recorded, we may review proof of delivery, OTP records, geolocation or courier evidence where a delivery dispute arises, subject to applicable law. If delivery fails because of materially incorrect customer information, repeated customer unavailability or refusal unrelated to product non-conformity, reasonable re-delivery or return-to-origin costs may be charged or deducted only where clearly disclosed and legally permissible.

8. Cancellations, returns, replacements and refunds

Our Return and Refund Policy forms part of these Terms and governs cancellation, return, size replacement, evidence, pickup, inspection and refund eligibility. We do not offer change-of-mind returns. Size replacement is available only for rings, kadas and bracelets, subject to the conditions, availability and 48-hour reporting period stated in that policy. Statutory remedies remain available for defective, deficient, incorrect, spurious, counterfeit, materially misdescribed or otherwise legally non-conforming products.

A claim must be supported by the order number, invoice or another reliable record establishing that the product was purchased directly through the Website. Absence of the original invoice will not automatically defeat a claim where the purchase can be reliably verified through our order records.

A return authorisation or pickup does not constitute final acceptance of a claim. Eligibility is determined after a reasonable inspection and review of available evidence. Approved refunds will be processed as stated in the Return and Refund Policy and applicable law.

9. Return integrity and claim assessment

A customer requesting a return, refund or replacement must preserve the product and all order contents with reasonable care, stop using the product after discovering the reported issue except where reasonably necessary to inspect it, and return the correct product together with the original box, packaging, tags, barcode, accessories, certificates, promotional gifts and invoice where applicable. The customer must not remove, replace, switch, alter, repair or intentionally damage any product, stone, component, tag, barcode, seal or identifier.

Where relevant, we may compare the returned product and parcel against dispatch and delivery records, including product identifiers, security markers, weight, condition, components and packaging. We may decline a claim, to the extent permitted by law, where documented evidence reasonably establishes product substitution; missing or switched components; deliberate damage; material use or wear inconsistent with inspection; misuse; mishandling; alteration; unauthorised repair; or failure to return required order contents, and where the issue is not attributable to an existing defect or our breach. We will communicate the material reason for an adverse decision.

The absence of a requested item of evidence will not, by itself, defeat a non-waivable statutory claim where the issue can reasonably be established by other reliable evidence. Equally, a claim submitted within 48 hours is not automatically valid merely because it was submitted within that period.

10. Evidence and dishonest claims

Photographs, videos, documents and statements supplied in connection with an order or claim must be genuine, complete in all material respects and relate to the actual product and parcel concerned. Edited, staged, recycled or misleading evidence; false delivery denial; deliberate product damage; product or component substitution; impersonation; and attempts to obtain both the goods and a refund are prohibited.

Where there are reasonable grounds to suspect fraud, we may preserve the relevant evidence, suspend the affected resolution while making proportionate enquiries, reject the claim with reasons where supported by evidence, restrict future transactions, and report the matter to the payment provider, courier, platform, insurer or competent authority as permitted or required by law. This does not affect a genuine customer’s right to challenge our decision or pursue statutory remedies.

11. Chargebacks and duplicate recovery

Nothing in these Terms prevents a customer from using a lawful payment-dispute or chargeback process. Customers must provide truthful and complete information and reasonably cooperate with requests for order and delivery evidence. A customer must not knowingly pursue or retain a duplicate recovery through a refund, replacement, chargeback, bank reversal, insurance claim or any other channel for the same loss.

If a duplicate or erroneous credit occurs, we may request repayment and take lawful steps to recover the duplicate amount and reasonable, recoverable costs. Raising a chargeback does not transfer ownership of an unpaid product to the customer and does not prevent either party from presenting evidence to the payment provider or a competent authority.

12. Reviews, photographs and customer submissions

You must own or have permission to submit any review, photograph, video or other content posted publicly through the Website or supplied to us for public use. Public submissions must be truthful and must not be unlawful, defamatory, misleading, infringing, abusive, obscene, privacy-invasive, malicious or commercially deceptive.

For content deliberately submitted for publication, you grant House of Mani a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display, adapt for formatting and use that content in connection with operating and marketing House of Mani, subject to applicable privacy and advertising law. Evidence or personal information submitted privately for customer support or a legal claim will not be treated as marketing content without an appropriate lawful basis or consent.

We may moderate or remove public content that reasonably violates these Terms or applicable law. Honest negative feedback will not be removed merely because it is unfavourable.

13. Acceptable use

You must not use the Website to commit fraud; impersonate another person; transmit malicious code; scrape, copy or extract data through automated means without permission; interfere with Website security or operation; obtain unauthorised access; violate intellectual-property, privacy or other rights; place orders using unauthorised payment credentials; harass our personnel or service providers; or engage in unlawful activity.

14. Intellectual property

The Website and its original text, photographs, graphics, logos, trade dress, product presentation and other content are owned by or licensed to House of Mani and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the Website for lawful personal shopping. No content may be copied, republished, commercially exploited, used to create misleading listings or used to suggest endorsement without prior written permission, except as permitted by law.

15. Third-party services

Shopify, payment processors, couriers and other independent service providers may support the Website and order fulfilment. Their services may be subject to separate terms. We are not responsible for an independent third party’s acts beyond our reasonable control, but this provision does not remove any responsibility that applicable law places on House of Mani as the seller or e-commerce entity.

16. Website availability and disclaimers

We do not promise that the Website will always be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device. We may suspend access for maintenance, security or operational reasons. Information of a general nature is provided without replacing product-specific disclosures or professional advice.

Any disclaimer or qualification in these Terms applies only to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing excludes responsibility for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, product liability that cannot be excluded, breach of an express warranty, or any non-waivable consumer right.

17. Limitation of liability

To the extent lawfully permitted, House of Mani will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable and was not directly caused by our breach, including loss arising from customer misuse, unauthorised alteration, failure to follow disclosed care instructions, or events outside our reasonable control.

For a claim that may lawfully be limited, our aggregate contractual liability relating to an affected order will not exceed the amount paid for that order. This limitation does not apply where such a cap is prohibited by law or to the liabilities expressly preserved in Section 16. Nothing in this section limits a legally available repair, replacement, refund, compensation or other consumer remedy.

18. Customer indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify House of Mani against a third-party claim and reasonable loss directly resulting from your proven fraud, deliberate unlawful conduct, infringement of another person’s intellectual-property or privacy rights through content you submit, or material breach of these Terms. This provision does not require a consumer to indemnify us for our own negligence, breach, defective product or legal responsibility, and does not apply merely because a customer brings a genuine complaint.

19. Events beyond reasonable control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, epidemic, war, civil disturbance, governmental action, transport disruption, labour disruption, telecommunications failure or widespread payment-system failure. We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect, keep affected customers informed and provide any cancellation or refund required by applicable law where performance becomes impossible or unreasonably delayed.

20. Suspension and refusal of service

We may suspend an account, refuse a pending order or restrict future orders where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, safety, repeated abusive conduct or documented fraud. We will not use this right to avoid an existing lawful refund, replacement, complaint or other obligation. Obligations and rights arising before suspension remain enforceable.

21. Privacy and communications

Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law. By placing an order, you consent to transactional communications reasonably necessary for payment, verification, fulfilment, delivery, support, safety, recall and grievance handling. Marketing communications will be sent only on an appropriate lawful basis and may be opted out of using the method provided.

22. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms prospectively to reflect legal, security, operational or service changes. The updated date will be displayed. Material changes will be communicated where required by law. Unless a change is required by law or expressly agreed, an accepted order will be governed by the version applicable when that order was placed. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance only to the extent recognised by law.

23. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact our Grievance Officer first so that we can attempt a prompt resolution. This request does not prevent or delay access to any consumer commission, court, regulator or other remedy available under law. Subject to such statutory rights and jurisdiction rules, courts having jurisdiction in Jaipur, Rajasthan may hear disputes arising from these Terms.

24. Severability, waiver and entire agreement

If a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or severed only to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. These Terms, the policies incorporated by reference, the applicable product page and the accepted order confirmation constitute the agreement for an order, subject to any mandatory legal rights.
